Wirral Earth Fest celebrated its sixth anniversary in style on Saturday as crowds from across the region flocked to West Kirby.

The event took place on St Bridget's Field, next to St Bridget's Church and was organised by Transition Town West Kirby with support from St Bridget’s Church and School.

There was a great atmosphere at the event which prides itself on bringing people together to share, to celebrate and to be inspired to create a more people and earth friendly community.

Margaret Greenwood MP, who is a long-time supporter of the festival, said:

“It was a real pleasure to attend this year’s Wirral Earth Fest.

“There was a fantastic atmosphere with plenty of live music, storytelling, crafts and plants, food and drink and lots of stalls raising awareness of environmental issues, anti-fracking, wildlife, social justice and more.
“This year was the sixth anniversary of the festival and it goes from strength to strength.”

“A massive thank you must go to the organisers and to St Bridget's for hosting this wonderful community festival.”
